My old girl...ku07gjo on eBay

Featured Replies

He he

This made me laugh...traded my car in a few weeks ago and found her in eBay. Less than accurate description tbh

Says 1 owner and it was 2, then there is the small matter of the dpf that is fooked. The fsh is true but I would avoid at this price!

If you are interested happy to answer questions

I like posts like this, saves people buying a pig!

Was wanting a Vrs as a taxi, couldn't find any 58 plates in my price range :-(

there is a vrs taxi in the linlithgow area which i drive up to every week day, and oh my god he fly's about the place in it as if it was a rally car he goes over speed bumps at 30mph+ and the car is only a 60 plate

'One former keeper' is a bit of misdirection for private sales as it means the current owner is the second but gives the impression they'd had it from new. I have a slight issue with it on trade sales as arguable there are now two 'former' keepers as you have relinquished it. The fact that the trader has not registered it makes this grey area a bit darker.

Is that the silver estate ?

Unless I am going blind, there doesn't seem to be any mention of the car having a current MOT - usually easy to spot on Ebay listings. Would a knackered DPF cause it to fail on emmissions?

Did you tell them the DPF is shot? Presumably not. Would/should try know (does it give a warning light?)

It's possibly they've replaced it I guess

Hi

The net thing I got from superskoda but was a big pain to fit, they now sell them with the whole panel and saves drilling etc. so would recommend that;

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-II/Octavia-II-04-12-original-Skoda-auto-passenger%C2%B4s-side-FULL-panel-with-netting-system

It was traded in at my local dealer and I guess it went to auction? The warning light was on when I dropped it off and I guess it is possible he/she replaced the DPF, but thought they would have advertised that, MOT'd till November 2013.

Oh and one last thing the paint of the spoiler is hanging off and when I took out the columbus I used the black fascia surround for my current L&K so it looks a bit naff in black.

It is a very well maintained car and provided all the receipts etc, including the one that said the DPF was 60 grams full and a quote for the replacement. Also had 4 good primacy's on it and was gernerally very straight. Still drove very well and she is missed lol

When a trader purchases the car if they register themselves as a trade buyer of the car they don't count as a former keeper.

Fact still remains that I was the second owner. Brought it at 86k

Cheers

I know. But what I mean is that I currently own my car. If I traded it I would no longer own it and would become a 'former keeper (ie not current keeper) even though a new keeper had not yet been found.

Basically I'm saying that its technically factual when a private seller does it, but not so when a trader does.
