Blackline - Grey wheels, now Black Pillars and Roof?!

Featured Replies

So I've got my white DSG blackline. Couldn't grow to get excited by the wheels as they were too black for me, didnt like the fact you couldnt differentiate the wheel from the tyre and also the fact the car looked like it has no wheels in anything less then good light. Just my oppinion mind - each to their own!

So I've had them redone gunmetal grey with a clear powdercoat.

The next question, do I get the B&C pillars wrapped?! and potentially the roof. I use a roof rack a lot for my mountain bikes so would offer some protection I guess.

After? (apologies I'm technically challenged on photoshop so I've used paint!! :giggle: ) Opinions please

Planning to have all my wheels re-done and quite fancy gun metal grey. Looks really good and I think it would suit my silver estate.

No rush as current on steels & winters.

How much did you pay for yours & where?

Cheers.

Not a fan of the black roof, but each to their own.

Gunmetal wheels on a white car is a great look though, but I think yours needs to sit a bit lower..?

Im getting my wheels done gunmetal against the white next friday. Looking forward to the difference and new look.

I'm not a great fan on white cars (they look like the ones I drive at work ;) ) or any solid colour if I'm being honest - but that is just personal opinion.

That said, if I had a vRS in white I would be very tempted to wrap/paint the roof black - along with the mirrors as well. It seems to be the latest trend and looks quite good.

The photoshop mock-up that you have done with the blacked out B & C pillars makes it look like an older Mercedes to my mind. That said, if you were to tint the windows as well...

Gun metal wheels are nice. Not sure about the black pillars though. I like the fact thay my vrs has body coloured pilars as its the only car i have seen that does this. Having them black makes it look bulkier IMO whereas the white pillars make the profile look more compact, probably as they break up the lines or something.

Not sure about the roof.

Hi I got them done at "wheel em in" in Hull. Cracking job, £200 all in for cash. That's rover gunmetal paint and clear powercoat finish.

Yeah It needs to come down for sure, it has settled a bit since this to be honest but still needs a drop.

Certainly some mixed opinions on the wrapping!! I really can't decided, but colour code grill surround is catching my eye too! looking for trick touches really, dont want to go overboard
