temp sensor

Featured Replies

do's any one no where the temp sensor is on a 1.9 tdi pd engine

If its the coolant temp sensor thats at the back right of the engine as you look at the screen. Its beneath the maf sensor area but its hard to see. You need to feel about but basically it plugs into the block so it is facing towards you

If its the thermostat then that's at the front left of the engine block as you look at the screen.

Hope this helps.

thank you don't no if you no but my fabia vrs revs to 1000 revs on cold start up and don't go down to you touch the pedal do you no if this is the temp sensor

Could be but they do generally idle a bit higher on cold start anyway. Would lower itself though.

Its only 12 quid for s temp sensor though so not expensive and is easy to do. Just bear in mind you will need to drop coolant so get some replacement coolant or catch it as you drain it.

The temp sensor has a c clip on it so you will need to pop that off to get the sensor out.
