Retrofit Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Has anyone had success with a retrofit cruise control stock on a Fabia Estate 1.4 tdi. I have a 57 plate (registered 01.08) 59kw edition - unsure if its 75 or 80bhp. My local Skoda dealer advised that it could not be fitted due a certain power unit fitted to that specification. Whilst I do not doubt what they say is true I really miss the option of using cruise control and wondered if anyone had actually been successful in having a retrofit. Is there a way of checking for definite whether my vehicle is compatible? Any advice is welcome.

I've had cruise control fitted to my vrs from Unit 18 in Milton Keynes. Although different car you could always call them up and ask if yours is compatible. Cost around £160 for parts, labour and vat iirc. 01908 320043

ring a dealer and they will tell you whether theres a kit available to fit to your car. or look an ebay for a set and email the seller

Ask Ross "techie".. hes fit loads of retro fit kits so im sure he'll know if its poss on a 1.4tdi..

£60 for a new 'old stock' on eBay, about the same from a scrappy ATM.
