I once bought some Shell Helix off eBay.

The cap wasn't sealed and there wasn't a seal underneath too.

I then saw an article on fake engine oil which made me wince.

Try Opie Oils, they are offering discount on their Castrol oils which is making them pretty cheap.

They have some offers on Fuchs too...

I have used this brand and this product. I bought it from Opie oils. You can check the price there but this is a bargin.

Is it any good? That's hard to tell. Fuchs is an independent German oil company and said to be an OEM supplier. In any case, this product is listed on the VAG website as an approved oil at the 507 standard. Without being a scientist, all I can say is I kept it in mine for a year and changed to Shell helix since it was cheap at eurocarparts.

A friend of a friend owns E Parts (big ebay parts seller) they are usually as good as opie in prices

I've used E-parts three times service has been amazing, last order was Fuchs 5w40 oil.

Sounds like it might be worth getting it then, used to use Fuchs in my Leon and never had probs, gonna use this ang go from variable to fixed servicing....

Had a garage put this in today together with new filters and plugs and the car seems so much better, engine has a more throaty sound and my mpg on my home trip went up by about 15% . Bought the car about a month back and which was serviced by a non skoda/vw garage prior to me picking it up, so bought this and had it put in just for peace of mind..

Good price, I went with Fuchs as I'd used this on a couple of my old cars and it was fine, I used to get it from GSF but this deal on EBay seemed a good bargain, I.e £30 delivered
