Review of Eibach springs & dampers for Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Two weeks of daily driving has passed after fitting the Eibach springs & dampers. I can honestly say this is probably the best mod you can do to the Fabia vRS.

I must admit, the ride at first was a little too stiff for my liking but everything has bedded-in & it's feels just right. Not crashy or spine jarring, just comfortable & purposeful!

The drop of 25mm was more noticable on the rear than the front, but now it seems to have settled down. Again, this is just right. I don't like the "tyres in the arches" look. I've grown out of that stage &, besides, it takes all the travel out of the suspension!

Cornering is greatly improved with far less body roll & understeer. Braking seems to have improved a tad (maybe I'm getting used to them!) with less nose-diving under heavy braking.

Confidence in how the car is going to react is high.

Overall, it feels as though this is how it should have been set up in the first place. ;)

How cool does that look?:D

Three words:

'Your spot on'

:D

Looks great

Although I am minus the dampers I agree, its such a big difference!

Agreed, the Fabia needs handling mods more than anything else IMO. Good review, looks good, how much did it cost in total?

Not bad... am I right in thinking you fitted these yourself, I'm sure I saw your thread at clubgti that said you had?

This will be my next mod as I am worried about the amount of roll I am getting on the track (see wear on side walls after 7 laps) The circular wear indicators on the shoulder are disappearing & the size & makers name are getting buffed off the side wall. Worrying.

Thanks for that review. Is 355quid the supplied only price?

Ride height looks sensible, no risk of grounding but the gap between tyre and arch looks much better  and I think a set of 17's will fit in the arches nicely ;):D

They did that when I drove on the road. I replaced the Michelins (might be different for yours) with Pirelli's and they seemed to last a bit better TBH.

I think that looks more due to the profile of the tyres... try puttin a bit more pressure in them :)

It looks great Jon :)

Cheers
