Surprised at how many admiring looks I get in the Blackline....

Featured Replies

Don't know if anyone else gets this, maybe the white ones stand out a bit more?

But I gave mine a good clean on Saturday morning, and off we went to town. The amount of people who you catch looking at the Blackline is amazing. I would say I get as many looks as when I drove my 2nd mk2 RS Focus - which was Ultimate Green.

I think the black wheels aid it, and I was originally not wanting them. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think it's a stunning looking car, and judging from others reaction when out and about - it is!

First day i took mine out i had a group of guys say "nice car mate". I said you "you realise its a skoda?". They looked shocked. Lol!

Cos ue is the best ;-)... Ha ha

As well as admiring glances I've noticed a rise in the number of clapped out Corsas with spotty teenagers with thier baseball caps on backwrds wanting to race me at traffic lights..........of course I oblige them, it would be rude not to..... :hi:

It's not corsa i have the issue with. Up in Aberdeen I've noticed a trend of slammed fiesta with stripes from front to back and the teen who positions his driving seat as if it were a bed.

Pulls up along side at a round about on a dual carriage and beeps his horn gives me the finger and then tries race me but ends up stalling and getting a glazing van in his arse. Brilliant will never forget that day.

But yeah I don't have a black line by ice caught

People squeezing their face on my windows. Thieves maybe lol

What is it with boy racers and seats almost horizontal. I had one take on my blackline on the Tay Bridge few days back. Silly boy!!

ive had a few comments about my blackline especially after ive justed washed it.( black hatch).i even had a bmw driver admire it. My other half parked it at tesco last night and returned to 3 guys looking at it. commenting to her how good the car looked.

Great car and very swish looking when the white is clean. Shame mine has to go back for the rear wiper to be fixed <dead>. :wall:

heard theyre gonna do a recall for this

I've been surprised by the number of people making comments about what a nice car it is.

Less surprising is the number of little boys trying to race me in it

and i thought averyone was just looking admiringly at me ha ha

Ive had a couple of people asking if my car is a Blackline. It isn't.

Really, good. It had a mind of its own and then just died (no issue with the fuse). I read on another thread that they are on back order. Will call in to the dealer on the way home tomorrow.

My missus wasn't happy when i got back to her car after I took my l+k in to dealer last week to get hands free blue tooth sorted for work. She had seen a black line leaving, went mad i didn;t get one of those as my new company car. The VRS range looks mint, the blackline was tempting but couldn't get it past me boss.

I've noticed this as well. One of my favourite comments was driving throught the main gate at work, when the car still had less than 100 miles on the clock, the SNCO on the gate was obviously expecting an officer or the like and this 'lowly' SAC turns up with a brand new vRS he said "Is this yours?" Me "Yes" SNCO "You get paid far to much" to which I replyed "Yes.... yes I do" and proceeded to drive on to camp emoticon-0136-giggle.gif .

It attracts more attention than I realise because I don't even get asked for I.D going through the main gate generally any more, I just get waved on most of the time, so it is obviously quite a memorable car  . Its deffanitly the car that does it because when I go out for a run I always get asked for I.D when I get back.

On another note tho, woman don't seem to 'dig it' as much as men  . I was on a night out a couple of weeks ago and I got chatting to this blonde number and the subject somehow ended up on cars. I found out that she drove a VW Polo GTI emoticon-0148-yes.gif but when she found out that I drove the vRS she said and I quote "A Skoda?!?!? Phfft. All you'll pull in that is grannies and old woman." emoticon-0173-middlefinger.gif . I almost bit but managed to stop myself so I decided to cut my losses and move on.
