Help with a wheel refurb

Featured Replies

I'm in need of some help with a wheel refurb here : http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/266202-refurbing-cheap-wheels-help/

But I'd like input as to what colour I should choose for the wheels at the end of the refurb and I know how people lurking here love to argue between black, OEM and that special Audi grey. ( the name escapes me but i know it begins with A and its dark grey )

Other things to consider.

the car is white

the wheels are 15" seat leon wheels

the car is at standard non-vrs ride height (for now)

Please let me know what you think.

I think the Audi grey everyone raves about is called "Dolphin Grey" or there is "Hyper Silver" as well which is a silver with a blue hue to it. Both should come up with images readily if you use the search.

I guess it depends on what route you want to go down.

With a white car you have a blank canvas to work with.

You could go outrageous...bright blue, red, green, orange? might need some colour coding to make it work though (mirrors/grill?)

Sensible.....black grey, silver?

i bought a second set of Fabia VRS alloys to do in sparkly mtallic purple for Mrs Pasty but she decided we'd pay for a wedding instead.

I'm still tempted to go for it on my Leon track wheels though.

Red car purple wheels? what's not to like :D

I liked the orange / white combo trev had but then I‘d be ripping him off with seat wheels as well, but really badly as my cars pretty tragic in comparison...
