Airbag module help

Featured Replies

My original air bag module is a 1C0 909 605 airbags consist of driver, passenger and side airbags so 4 all together.

I have been searching ebay and found the same module but with letters on the end? E.g 1C0 909 605 A ? What's the difference

Thanks

The letter on the end of a VAG part number normally denotes the revision level of the item

Inthe ETKA parts systems you can normally pull up a revision list, and from that navigate to models that had that item from factory.

The A character would denote the 1st revision level.

There are known faults with the early airbag controllers, whereby a diagnostic scan cause them send out the fire signal to the airbags

So am I right to think I can use any of them with the letters on the end? Thanks

6Q0-909-605-A is the airbag controller you do not want to fit

Ross-tech info

ps

Its the middle two parts of a VAG part number which identify the actual item - so 909-605-A are all the same
