Octavia II, NEXUS CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i have a problem with my nexus radio that I hope you can help me with. The problem I'm experiencing is that a radio display sudennly stopped working - display lights up but graphics are gone. In the beginning, when problems started, there were horizontal or vertical lines over the whole screen, but after 5 minutes or so it started working normally again. Now, all I see is green light all over the display, graphics isn't shown. is this some kind of software problem that i can fix or do you think that hardware is failling.

Sorry to say that sounds like the screen is broken.

Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade to a shiny new Columbus, can't quite push myself to upgrade my nexus whilst it still works though!

One more question, would it be possible to sell nexus radio with broken display?

hi,

one last question, i've decided to buy Columbus, will it work on my octavia? It's manufactured in 2005. I've found this : http://goo.gl/9lxhj and they claim that it will work without any problem but with modified software, but when i contacted local Skoda dealer they claim that my Skoda is too old for Columbus, if I install it in my car I could experience parking sensor malfunction, battery power drain...

Mike,

I recently swapped my '05 Octy mk2 Elegance (Manual) (65K miles) for an '05 Octy mk2 Elegance (DSG) (8k, yes 8K miles).

My previous '05 Octy mk2 (Manual) had a Stream Radio CD player which showed my rear proximity sensors in the display

My current '05 Octy mk2 (DSG) has a Nexus (MFD2) SatNav that does not show ether my front or rear proximity sensors in the display.

Is this normal or is it a MAXIDOT? programmable item?

No it's normal.

The MFD2/ Nexus doesn't show the parking display.
