Door Lock Issues

Featured Replies

Right a couple of days ago my drivers door would not unlock. When i bought the car the rear passengers door wouldn't unlock and the front was iffy having to lock and unlock the car a few times before it would unlock the door. I got 2 new locks and after a few hours and a few strong words got the back door open and the lock changed the front was a doddle as I could open the door.

Anyway couple of nights ago i got out the car and locked it as normal (never had any probs with the drivers door) the next morning it wouldn't unlock so I assumed the same had happened to that lock. Today i noticed that the electric mirror on that side does not work ether. So now im thinking the cable going into the door has snapped. the red l.e.d. is on all the time as instead of flashing. The electric window still works as it should.

Has anyone had a similar problem or now how to fix it. I don't really wont to wreck the door card or have to burst the lock and fit a new one to find out it was a snapped wire.

Many many many thank you pleases.

you dont have to wreck the door card to get inside, sounds like something wiring related, you are going to need to try scanning it if poss, then (and) failing that, get the card off to check the wiring and the motor.
