Standard Fabia vRS Exhaust Diameter

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've recently just bought a replacement standard Fabia vRS exhaust to replace my current dented one and need to but a connector. Having had a quick look around, it seems there's a mixture of opinion as to the exhaust diameter between 2.25 and 2.5. Having looked on eBay for exhaust connectors, there seems to be a few different sizes available but not mention just for the Fabia vRS and then i found this one....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Sleeve-w-Clamps-for-Skoda-Fabia-99-08-/300802200282?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFabia%7CCars%20Type%3A1.9%20TDI%20RS&hash=item46093552da&_uhb=1

It states it fits the Fabia vRS but has a diameter of 55mm, which if 2.25 inches is correct would make the diameter of this to small, so can anyone tell me the correct size of the Fabia vRS diameter and which connector would be best please??

Thanks,

John

Best bet would be to put a length of string around the pipe, measure the length right around so it's tight then divide it by 3.14 :)

Cheers mate.

It would be helpful for me if you got the size.

I'd do it myself, but my car crapped its pants last night and is no where near home!

I'll get it tomorrow, the exhaust is off my car in the shed so it will be alot easier :)

Gu 'lad dan!

2.25" stock and some aftermarket exhausts

Milltek is 2.5"

2.25" stock and some aftermarket exhausts

Milltek is 2.5"

I thought piper was 2.5" and milltek was 3"..or is that just the down pipe?

I thought the Milltek and Piper were 2.5 inch down pipe. Then the 3" down pipe is the one Darkside sell :)

It's the inner one as the outer one is that sleeve thing where the cat connects.

Looks like the 55mm connector will be good enough. :)

Just reviving this thread to avoid starting a new one:
I am fitting a downpipe that will mate with the stock rear exhaust section. I want to fit a new 'fastener', as in, the joint between the DP and the rear section. Is a 'Bosal Exhaust Sleeve' the correct term for it ?
As in: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Fabia-Bosal-Exhaust-Sleeve-Clamps-/371610781979?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AFabia&hash=item5685ba891b:g:9V0AAOSw3mpXILjh  ?
Just wanted to check before I order one that I am getting the right clamp. The one that is fitted currently looks like it has served it's time. I don't want to be losing time faffing refitting old clamps and old rusty bolts when I can replace the full lot for £10 or so.

Great - so as long as I order the correct size I should be sorted then? I assume they come with the nuts and bolts included?
