So I have split with my mrs and might look into changing my car

I was wondering what suggestions people had?

I am 23 I have always wanted a DC5 but bit over budget.

I want something with a bit of poke but looks nice as well suggestions welcome

Petrol or diesel and then you say you were looking a integra's,

Mates just bought a nice seat leon fr 150 diesel for 4k

Would say its not just buying the car its running the thing once you have it, lad at work had a bora diesel and traded it in and bought an old volvo 850R saloon and hes now bought a diesel to use everyday as he simply carnt afford to keep putting fuel in it

Too true. I have a Cee'd for my everyday and recently bought a BMW 740i as a weekend toy. £30 gives me a rough range of 100 miles. As above..bare the costs involved in running it in mind.

Ace cars though. £4k I imagine must get you into a facelifted one now and they're not daft expensive to run... Even really practical!

Others? How much are S2000s? Mk1 TT? S3? E36 M3? Fabia vRS (good mix of economy and fun to drive - I test drove one and a breadvan Civic Sport back to back and ended up buying the Civic as it was bigger and didn't have the stupid light seats but the Fabia was awesome)? Clio 182? Fiesta ST?

Motoring hacks have said the DC5 "lost a little of the old cars magic" etc. It's regarded as one of if not the best FWD cars of all time, and one of the worlds best drivers cars. Performance is actually better than the DC5 in the 0-60 dash, and it gets from 0-100 about a second quicker than an Escort RS Cosworth. Then there's the handling, awesome.

It's also got the original aggressive vtec crossover which is missing on the later Hondas.
