Are these too cheap?

Featured Replies

Currently looking for a new set of x4 plugs for my car (2002 Octavia 1.8T 20V 4x4 estate) and came across these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-spark-plugs-PFR6Q-PLATINUM-spark-plugs-x4-/300866219981?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item460d062fcd

They seem very cheap and possibly too good to be true??

The best price I can find elsewhere is around £25 (Amazon / eBay) and around £30 from Eurocarparts (with 25% discount).

Any views?

That's the first bid (ie £8) in an auction which still has 5+ days to go, Sean.

^^^ What DGW said ^^^

I've got spark plugs in sealed boxes out in my garage and I've long since forgotten what car's they're for. Never crossed my mind to put them on eBay, but I might and it wouldn't make them too good to be true, but a genuine bargain. I suppose I ought to open the boxes just to make sure they're not ceramic dust and rust!

Could be a bargain - chuck a bid in and see how you go.

I was referring to the buy-it-now price of £15 :giggle:

I can't see a buy it now price...

Bugger!! When I looked earlier there were no bids (starting bid £8) and a buy-it-now of £15 + £1.99 delivery.

Should have gone for the buy-it-now, but was a little cautious given the low price.

Well it turned out they were a bargain after all

I won them for £10.50 (£12.49 delivered) and they arrived a couple of days later, brand new and in their original packaging.

The best price I could find online for them eleswhere was just under £30 (Eurocarparts with -25% Briskoda discount).
