I have just bought some team dynamic pro race 3 alloys in black ... But I'm now stuck for which tyres to put on?

Can anyone recommend a good tyre for my vrs? Looking for 205/40/17 tyres

I have a set of Uniroyal Rainsport 2's all round on my standard wheels, can't fault them and would 100% recommend them.

+1 from me on the Uniroyals.

Keep hearing recommendations for Uniroyals but cant seem to find a main stockist who can suppy them without taking weeks to order them.

Can anyone recommend a stockist ? Wiltshire based.

I recently had 4 new tyres. Went for Uniroyal rain sports! My car is completely different now! Grip is superb, and virtually all of the under steer from before has gone!!! My tyres before were cheapo's that were on it when I brought the car! But the new ones really are good!

The Rainsport's are the best tyre I've had on the vRS, grip levels are excellent especially in the wet (obviously) lol... Car feels much better when cornering with less understeer. Another thing I like about them is the chunkiness & aggressive looking tread, I think it's around 9mm or so deep compared to other makes which have 7/8mm.

Toyo's / falken / kumho's are good too

As long as you put branded tyres on you'll be fine! Its the chinese rubbish you want to stay away from

I've put Bridgestone turanza on mine all round and they are shocking! Break traction ever so easy-avoid these! I've had vredestien on before and they were quite good

I've got proxys on mine but i have to say they are waaaay too soft for the price you have to pay. I've only and mine 8 months and already down to 3mm :(

I personally disliked the Rainsport 2's enormously. Tried Toyo T1r's - dangerous until warmed up, very very slippery when cold.

Have run Eagle F1 GSD3 until now, as they are no longer available (boo). Just put Avon Zv5's on the front, and I'm fairly impressed - especially at £74 fitted / corner (for 16"s)
