Featured Replies

sorry to topic steal, but where can you get the uprated springs without spending a fortune? Also, stage 1, which colour spring?

Very interesting, how did you diagnose this fault?

I have a 2001 vRS with 70-odd thou on the clock, surging boost when accelerating. Last week it faulted with 17704 so put a new CTS in. Not had a chance to plug it in again yet, but reading in here for some tips....

Timpo.

Still had slight misfire after new coil packs and loom was full of cracks, bit of solder and insulation tape cured it

Ive had my car remapped to a stage 2 on the friday just gone and im having this problem also . Ive rang the company who did the map and said to check the hoses to the N75 valve and if they are ok try a different N75 valve in it which ill be doing tonight . If this fails said to ring back and we go from there . It drove perfect on the way home and it started when i was about 30 minutes away from home . fingers crossed its this , dont fancy another 3hour round trip

Didnt work :( looks like it will be going back to R-tech

I hate posts like this. I am thinking of going to RTech for mine, well I was, but I don't want this!

It doesn't mean you will have the same problem mate . Been looking in to and I think its something to do with the standard software on the car and a remap highlights this . I wouldn't worry about it as by the sound of it Nick knows his stuff !! I have faith in him

I have a boost surge after my last map and I managed to whittle it down to little blurbs. I just don't need the 3 hour trip up there if it goes pear shaped

But it might not happen mate . Its a chance you take . It might be something is failing on my car

I have a similar problem but i think im gonna get booked in at shark and see if they know what this is

the joys of remapping cars.my last 2 Scooby track cars were both running stand alone ecu's and getting them to run right was a nightmare.leaving my vrs standard and doing brakes/suspension as that's what makes a car fast not loads of bhp.

Well mine has a map on it and replaced turbo but now im not getting boost if i feather the throttle it feels like it boosting but if i floor it it feels like its really struggling to get upto speed and cant feel it boosting at all i unplugged the maf to see if the was any diff nd there was a lil bit nd thn it threw up the eml so i read it and it said maf nd another code nd ive googled other code wich is p1296 and it seems its dwn to coolant temp sensor effecting the fuel any help on this guys as it seemed ok until i changed turbo after blowing the old one

Im going back to r-tech friday to sort it out . Let you know what he finds

Nice one ive replaced the cts nd some clips tht didnt look too gd bit better but still not satisfied

Well been down and seen them , they found that my actuator is causing the problem . Looking at getting a forge one at £140 and need to find a good garage to drop the turbo and fit this . R-Tech 110% recommend !

A remap can highlight problems with a weak actuator, seen this happen before.

Seen other problems highlighted with a remap . Its a chance you take remapping/modding cars . If you dont want any problems doing a car up leave it as it is . Its all part of the fun
