Drivers Door Electrics

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have discovered that the PVC covering on my drivers door wiring has split and is causing some very strange reactions.

Due to the tightness of the cable/fit I intend to splice the cables and extend them individually.

My question is does anyone know off hand what the amp rating is for the individual wires in the drivers door?

Regards

Hi,

I guess you could check fuse for electric window motor as this must have the biggest draw (motor in door lock is small).

Then do a Google search for what AWG is suitable for that current. Looks like 0.5mm dia would cope with 30A.
