ESP ?

Featured Replies

While I've been on the lookout for my next car, hopefully an octavia vrs, I've seen that some (very few actually) have ESP fitted.

Does anybody out there have it and is it worth having? Could it be retro-fitted? I'm thinking all it would need is the dash switch and some sort of software upload? Any ideas of cost to do this?

Thanks

get a rally :D they have ESP iirc

Or a 4x4.

No the ESP cannot be retrofitted unless you spend another buckload of money. You better order it with ESP. Experience of most 2wd +200 hp cars says you will need it.

My 03 Plate Vrs Has Esp!!!

I have ESP (well my Octy has!) and its saved me a few times when I have gone round the twisties a little too 'briskly'. A worthy option imo.

Or a 4x4.

By this, do you mean that the 4x4 has ESP as standard, or do you mean that it doesn't need ESP?

Nice Guy Mike

it has it as standard and it has helped me a few times :)

the price that esp costs to ad it well worth it plus u can switch it off or use it to your advantage! plus if ur bird is driving it, it makes it a lot less crashable :D

If i were looking to buy a used one again I'd wait until I found a car with ESP - mainly because the standard ASR is rubbish.
