dont really know..just talking from experience :)

maybe its because of the better air intake, maybe the longitudinal setup helps with increased turbo exausts, maybe its the gearbox, maybe the aerodynamics..

cant really tell..

in uk you dont have many tuned superbs to test, right?

We don't have that many Superbs of any kind! :D

I wouldn't have thought that a superb with the same mods as an octy would be as quick due to the weight of the thing....

doubt your superb has a better intake than mine :P

very very little resistance in there!

don't think the exhaust thing could make much difference as they still pretty much just go down then towards the back.

how much does your superb weigh??

usually when I race for fun with friends with chipped octy's 4x4, lets say from rolling 2nd gear,

we have about 2 cars difference when I change to 4th.

if you have not done much to your intake, I doubt its better

and i think weight does not matter much when in motion..

i have a big carbon tubular airbox with a big cone filter in with a piece of decent sized ducting running straight down to the bumper for fresh cold air, there are no sharp bends in it wither :)

the difference could simply by the difference in engines or tuners, or what they have been tuned for maybe. seems odd as i thought they would be fairly similar tbh

just looked and the weight difference between an octavia vRS and a superb comfort 1.8T is only about 60 or 70Kg so not gonna be that much different.

well to tell you the truth, when I started to mess with the car, I did not expect to go faster that tuned octys, not even equal

can you please tell me -though vagcom or something like that- how much air does the maf read at full throttle with the things you have done in air intake?

what you've done, sounds like steve swings ttda..dont know if you are reffering to that..

I have a smoothed airbox with cold air feed in my AUQ engined Golf (same 180bhp engine at vRS).

I see a peak of around 184g/s, what do you see with yours?
