Bulbs - Night Breakers & Blue Vision

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd give my thoughts on the popular Night Breaker Plus & Blue Vision bulbs. After longing for better and brighter bulbs I looked through the forums extensively to find what people were using.

It was a toss up between the Osram Night Breakers and Philips X-treme Vision for the H7's and Philips Blue Vision or some LEDs from eBay for the 501, W5W. Went with the Night Breakers as they do seem to get glowing reviews and the Blue Vision as they were pretty cheap.

So far I'm happy with both products, the Night Breakers do provide a whiter light compared to the standard OEM ones and a slightly more range of beam. Despite having 'blue' in their name the Blue Vision's are white, no yellow tinge at all.

First photo of the side light bulbs, second two of both.

Hope this helps you guys trying to decide on what bulbs to buy. I can't comment on the longevity of the bulbs as I have only started using them mid Feb.

+1 for night breaker plus, been using mine for about 4months now.

been looking at sidelight bulbs myself, mainly LED's. might get involved on the Philips, £3.90 delivered off eBay. Where did you buy yours from?
