Never seen one of these before.

These were taken at the Southward Car Museum open day today in near Wellington NZ.

It's an amazing place, well worth half a day if you ever visit NZ.

Is it a 1000MB with a different name?

Apart from the "Sabre" badge which looks a lot like one from a Reliant Sabre 4 http://www.sporting-reliants.com/images/Owners%20Gallery/Sabre4Sb.jpg that car looks a lot like a 1000MB. The badge is where the 1000MB one should be.

It is indeed a 1000MB.I just checked my two Skoda Bibles: L&K Skoda and Cars of Eastern Europe by Andy Thompson. Always liked these: much prettier than the Estelle IMHO.

Just had another look in Thomson and the Sabre was the name the car was marketed under in NZ. It was also asssembled there apparently in knock down kit form from 1968 to 1976.

I was going to say that the Sabre name did ring a bell.
