So a little background.

About me:

I am 24 and currently live with my fiance. I work for a rather large (global) laptop and tablet and PC hardware manufacturer. I have a "little" car knowledge but I aim on improving this over the coming year. But they do say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Car:

I currently drive an Audi A4 1.8T Sport (R Reg) with close to 130k on the clock. However as of this evening (hopefully) I will be picking up a MK1 Octavia VRS (03 plate, Black, with 67k on the clock) Very clean example, well looked after, from a friend.

We know the history of the car well (as mentioned its a friends) He has only replaced because he has bought his mums BMW X3 from her at a good price. The beneifit of this is that there should be no suprises.

It has a few niggles which I will sort over the first few months (with some help from you guys hopefully + purse strings dependant.) But I just wanted to say hi and get stuck in to what looks like a really helpful and friendly forum.

Picked it up last night! Very pleased with it, its clean and tidy inside and out. There are a few niggles with it which I knew about before hand (ARB bushes causing minor squeak noise,radio signal poor due to terrible aftermarket shark fin aerial etc etc) but will look to get these sorted over time.
