Amundsen RCA outputs? (for amps etc..)

Featured Replies

OK, I realised I put this in the wrong forum to start with so mods please feel free to delete the other one in the Octavia forum.

so, my original question is does anybody know if the Amundsen has RCA outputs on the back of it of whether you can buy RCA adapters that simply plug into the back of it? I want to add amps and processors but need RCA outputs to go forward..

Thanks, Mark.

No there are no RCA outputs, and as far as I am aware the Amundsen cannot drive the premium sound system so there are no adapters either. If you want to add amps, you'll need to use an amp that will accept speaker level inputs rather than line level and intercept the speaker lines instead.

thanks for the info, I'll look out for decent quality RCA converters I think, none of my amps have speaker level inputs! it's either that or use something like an Audison Bit1 as that has speaker level inputs..

isnt it a bit 10 marko or a JL clean swep?

Will any of the new Mosconi processors do that job too?

not looked at Mosconi, bit gutted really as I wanted to go all analogue with this system but non of my processors have speaker level input.. I think using an RCA converter is the easiest option for me. I want to use a Nakamichi multi-changer with co-ax digi output too for better SQ but need to retain the standard headunit for sat-nav and MP3 duties!

Mark.
