Morning all,

Im looking to chop the cat out on my mk1 fabia vrs and replace it with a straight piece of pipe, which can be removed and put my cat back in incase MOT rules change in the future.

Now two places I have been to say they cant do it, as the cat is too close to the bend where the pipe goes up to the turbo. One company said they would have to remove the whole exhaust to do it, and quoted £200-£250 !!! I can get a piper for that price!

I have had a look at the cat, and it doesnt seem to me anyway, that it would be that hard to replace it with a bit of pipe.

Has anyone else had this problem? If you have had a decat pipe put on, and have a photo, could you upload it for me please

Doesn't sound right to me. You can get a larger bore Piper decat with better flow for around £180 direct from Piper on here.

I cut mine off with a grinder an welded a bit of transit exhaust to it . Works a treat. If u make the pipe smaller an slit the big pipe u shud be ok. I kept my cat so if things change ill weld it back on
