Engine oil ?

Featured Replies

Hey guys im sure this topic has been covered many times ,the back end of last year i had a oil and filter change using 10/40 castrol part s, i found the mileage had not been as good and in only 4 months has used 4 litres never been an issue before i have a 100 k mile plus 2.0 tdi 2006 so should i opt for a fully synthetic 5/30w .....

The only oil that should be in your car is oil conforming to VW 505.01 or VW 507.00. I think 505.01 is 5w40 and 507.00 is 5w30.

If it doesn't say that (VW 505.01 or VW 507.00) on the tin you need to get the oil changed asap!
