anyone any idea what this is or where it goes?? found in the passengers footwell

It holds the pollen filter in place, imagine looking up into the passenger footwell then you will easily see where it's supposed to go

I changed my pollen filter and I cannot get the bit pictured to stay on!

It awkward to get back on, well mine was! One side was easy and the other side was a night mare.

Ditto Dan mine was the same too.

If its awkward to get back on, then either the filter housing isn't in properly, or that trim above hasn't been fitted correctly.

Try fitting it without the filter in situ, if it fits ok, then have another go with the filter fitted, trial and error job.
