Is this my radio code?

Featured Replies

Basically I'm half way through installing a Parrot, slid my head unit out, only to find that some time in its life it's had a new one, as the model number in the manual doesn't match that on the head unit. Needless to say therefore that the security code doesn't work!!

Anyhow, there's a sticker that says SK_5100 (see picture). Can anyone confirm that this is the security code or not please?

Lol the code actually says SK_0015!

No that is not the code, the code will not be on the headunit otherwise it serves no anti-theft purpose. The symphony is pretty much standard across the whole fabia range so I would be surprised if the unit had been changed.

It's the proper symphony unit, but the individual model number sticker doesn't match the radio model sticker, so the code doesn't work. I thought maybe that SK_0015 sticker was the one that you should pull off and stick in the manual to remind you of the code?

The long code starting SKZ is the one the dealer will use to identify the HU, match it to the VIN and download the code from Shoda HQ and charge £20+ for doing so.

No idea what the SK code you point out is for.

Earlier cars (up to about 2003/4) had a plastic key fob with the stereo code under a rub off strip or a sticker in the manual.
