Who runs 9j rears?

Featured Replies

Calling the wheel crazed guys. Who runs 9j rears and what et are you at?

I found some wheels i want and they are 8j et20 front and 9j et26 rears but they are going to need adaptors so i think it might push them out to much :S . Dont mind doing minor arch work if thats all it takes but im thinking maybe it will be to much still.

Heres a MASSIVE quote from lee "catman" ill find out the et's for u in a min ;)

well as i said earlier i test fitted the new wheels today.

heres a few pics of whats it will look like in 2012!

out with the old in with the new

the new

rh zh1's 17x8 and 9's with custom porsche centre caps

195/40r17 on the 8's

205/40r17 on the 9's

With 25mm rh adapters.

.

The 8j fronts are et60

The 9j rears are et47

So after 25mm adapters the 9j rears are et22 and they poke quite a bit

So the wheels ur looking at wont fit m8 :(

Hmmm think 9j might be abit much for me. Might mix and match and get 8j fronts for both front and back.

Even if u use 8j et20 all round.. the thinnest adapters are 15mm (although i wouldn't use less than 20mm)

Which would make the et5 and they would poke more than the 9s on the back of Lee's :o

Ye there off a 7 series?? Alot of bmw's have very low et's because the have massive arches to fill :)

5 series i have only seen them on. Yer i would only use 20mm min. Oh well second option wheels are 8j all round and et33 with adaptors......so et13 all around will this still be to much?

Sorry looked back at catmans et and i realise it would be way to much for me lol.

On the hunt again, i just want something different that hasnt been done.

The front will have too much "poke"

The edge of my front wheels is flush with the arch and im running 7.5j et21 (including adapters)

Maybe if u ran 15mm Adapters at the front..?

Use this website to work out fitment compared to what u have now ;)

bromo runs 9j rears . . he's gonna be moving them to the front and getting wider rears i think, but he's fettling the arches to do so.

my wheels last year were 7.5j et25 fronts and 8.5j et15 rears . . .

i tried the rears with 10mm spacers too but it looked pokey as hell compared to the fronts.

I run 9" rear porsche alloys, dont sit out that much tbh.. but it depends on the offset.. Not keen on those alloys anyway but you never know until you try them out I suppose:)
