Found this out when I was buying my car. Turned out that Autotrader got its figure wrong for my car, put 140g/km instead of 143g/km. Don't know why the Fabia vRS has two different bands though.

The gear ratios on the early ones were longer, which meant it got better CO2 figures

Realised they did a boo boo on the 2004-2007 batch then retweaked the numbers through ECU to make it hit the lower band. (or simply a ploy so they get more sales for the ltd ed ones.)
