Vehicle data

Featured Replies

Due to the dealer "losing" my service book when new, I've had to try and get the paper label off the boot floor before the spare wheel rubs all the information off.

I subsequently got another service book at the first service, which was robbed off another Yeti in the showroom!!

Is there any information out there that specifies all the coding on the label?

Better still, ask your dealer to print you off a copy of the Vehicle data for your car. The one for my Octavia lists all 192 option codes fitted (or not) plus VIN, sales model type, engine and gearbox codes, production date, dealership number and more.

Thanks Gizmo68.

I don't think my dealer can do that sort of stuff - I'm only confident they can change oil and filter :giggle:

Some of them cannot do the oil and filter service properly.

If the dealer can look up a parts list, they should be able to print off vehicle data. However it is quite possible that they have never been asked to do the latter.
