Featured Replies

hi there uys

i nede ome advice about wheel sizes on a fun

ive been offered some polo split rims for the fun but they have 205 wid4e tyres would these cause a problem on the fun ?

I believe so

is there anything kind of wheels I should stay away from or certain golden rules

regards

dil

it depends if you want it to be chavved up bling wagon or if you want it to handle well? 15" wheels are your practical limit if you want it to handle anywhere near half decent

those bbs splits are lovely looking wheels, they look awesome on a mk2 golf, you should be ok with those even with the non standard tyre combination you mention

ye them 15s i dont want summat stupid on it but just didnt know about the arcs and scrubbing n stuff

To be quite honest, not exactly 'bling', but I'm running 185/60 on 14" Felly alloys and they fill the wheel arch nicely. The continentals im running on it never fail to lose their grip, and I've been treating her like a bitch recently, chucking her very, very harshly into corners - and (still) with the ARB flapping around loosely, haha. I feel guilty actually, but there hasn't even been so much as a hint of tyre screech.

ive been running 205 45 17's and it handles spot on!

proper tyres though, not cheepys

cheers guys

I've always run on standards, easy to source/cheap & handles just fine! ;)

to be fair though, most peoples felicia/pickup cant go fast enough for you to notice any difference anyway

^ Yep, generally not too much danger of exceeding the speed rating :giggle:
