mpg from a 2.0tdi 140pd manual

Featured Replies

just wondering what you get to the gallon and to a full tank. plus how much does it cost to fill the tank from fuel light to full. also if anyone has a had a remap is the fuel economy better or slightly worse. on a standard car what is the best u have had mpg wise and worse

cheers vrsadz

I get well over 50mpg. To the tank multiply the tank size and you will not get 60 litres in unless you let the tank go well below empty. 55 ltres is the morm in my case. No remap because. Why? Worse mpg when new 45 and the best over 65mpg and even once touched 70 mpg according to the matrix so deduct 5% for real life. By the way thae above is over 12k miles and eleven months.

cheers for the reply. does the superb not have a vent valve in the tank like the mk1 fabia vrs did, or just have a standard 60 litre tank. do you mainly do motorway driving or bit of everything. have you had any problems with the dpf

cheers vrsadz

Have you been changing cars Adam?

no, still have my fabia

Come on - don't be shy in letting us know if you're thinking of getting a 'full size' car lol.

See my stats on Fuelly, altough mine is CR not PD

Thinking of changing then

Don't know about the vent valve I just think "the miles" left is a bit pessimistic. 60 litres. 65% motorway, 35% A & B roads with journeys from 2 miles to 25 miles. DPF no problems and that is doing 56 mph on the motoray as it is difficult to go much faster in the morning.

probably in time but just wondered what mpg u get because the superb is quite a heavy car

As you can see I'm averaging about 45 but have seen upto 50 on some ocassions. Round town it seems to be around 35-38.

I don't hang around either and like to progress when conditions suit!

Yes there is a vent valve on the Superb 2, at least 5l extra space (make sure you use it on a diesel only).
