Climate control not cold

Featured Replies

My climate control doesnt seem to be blowing out cold air when on fully LO, cool air is coming out but it certainly isnt cold.

I had a similar problem a while back and was told the pollen filter was blocked.

Might be the pollen filter, might be the aircon needs regassing...

Rob.

Mine stopped putting out nice cold air, having it re-gassed sorted it though :)

Mine has also stopped working, got a bad smell of burning clutch on the way to work one morning. It has been diagnosed as a faulty compressor. The clutch in the compressor has disintegrated which has caused the problem. It's hopefully going to be fixed on Friday. :D

If your car is still under warranty it would be worth getting it in ASAP, as the Air-con clutch falling apart is quite a common problem.

Good Luck hope it is just a re-gas.

It is indeed common.

Check to see if it engages when switching on.

Turned car on the other day and when put air con on there was a loud clunking noise and the idle was going up and down like anyone's business.

Opened bonnet and could see belt was moving then stopping and so on. Seems to be clutch related. It works on ECON no probs but not when it is on normally. You can feel the car jerk as belt starts and stops. :thumbdwn:

Any ideas chaps? Ultimately will be dealer job but wanted some advice first

Bah humbug...typical....summer...roasting...bugger! :(

Sounds like the air con pump, just had mine changed.

Car felt as if it was running on kangeroo juice with air con on, switch to econ and it drove much better.

Was about a 2 week wait for a pump from the dealers but changed under warranty without any fuss.
