Nice one. 16" wheels? How much.

Yeah 16" alloys :( Bought it for £1250, FSH, Receipts etc! :D:D:D

bargain!

can't believe these cars are now down to these kinda figures, i looked at one a while ago, and it was def only worth that (proper tatty and high mileage), but still...cheap as chips really!

Very cheap. Looks like its needs a little tlc on the exterior but cant argue with that value!

Yeah it is! Its crazy how cheap Octavia Vrs's go for nowadays! But its hard to find standard, well looked after examples :(

yes battered ones can be had for less than a grand, but good ones can still hold their money, condition is key really!

She's lovely mate. Y reg like my baby and rally red too I'm guessing.

Cheers! And yeah rally red! What's the difference between rally red and corrida red ?:-/

I think corrida red is a bit darker and they only used rally red on the very first models. I was beginning to think I have one of the last rally reds out there. My car has a sister :-)

Mines a corrida- the reds look best IMO!! Especially after a good polish( impossible in this weather though!)

It has 16" alloys as the very first ones came with them

Mine has 17" spyders full set of 5 I wonder if there aftermarket. The spare fits nicely in the boot and its got the foam toolkit holder too.

Yup the early vrs had 16" alloys the 17" came a couple of years later along with the dark headlining I think

What is the best way to polish the paint? The spoiler has faded, so I want to polish it and the body to get it all nice n shiny :-D T Cut any good?:-)

I think it was a mix and match or whatever was in stock as my Y plate one has 17"s

Autoglym Super Resin isnt bad,

I've never managed to get my spoiler and mirrors looking as red as the metalwork. Maybe a respray when the summer eventually arrives.

Have used paint from this place before to paint my bumpers.

I thought hatches were 17s, and estates were 16s for the vRS when it rolled out the factory. Obviously then previous owners might have replaced the 16s on the estates to make them look more like the hatch.

My Y plate has 17's also

Nope, seems there is no real 'rule' with the hatches. Unless some dealers were swapping them around to make a potential car look more attractive with the larger wheels?

I always use this.... Easy on, easy off too. Meguires carnauba wax after too does the trick.

red fades badly, something to do with pigmentation, really a good compounding with g3 and a DA is what you would benefit from

Bascically certain parts of the vRS are not lacquered and start to fade.

No basically you brought a pink car, it takes time for it to mature to pink lol
