And for comparison VW sold 735,292 Golfs alone!

Interesting list.

Ah that website has now updated this top 500 list to the top 937 cars. Interesting to see the bottom... e.g. 12 Veyrons sold in the entire year and THREE Fiat Multiplas in 2012?!?! (I feel for the poor dealers that had these beasts hidden in a shed somewhere all these years!)

I hope the Multiplas went to some Design Studio or Museum. they are Classics.

(must be the most Searched vehicle at UK ports by HMRC,

since they caught the Drug, Gun & Gold smuggling gang that had a wee fleet of them.)

Looking at that list you begin to realise just how big a player the VAG group is in the world. Looking on the Volkswagen site,they sold close to 9.3million last year.

The Figures are strange things,

there are ones given as Cars Sold & Cars Manufactured,

obviously many cars Built never get Sold.

Seen by all those stocks of cars that sit on Runways all over the World,

& 2 & 3 year old cars that never get second owners.
