We have a costco opening in southampton soon, just wondering if its worth getting a card??

Get one you wont regret it when they have special offers on as above.

Costco is quite good for the odd bargain and hot dog. They do very nice food.

I buy loads from Costco, as have a card through the business.

Their meat section is brilliant (AA steak/beef, etc.).

Also, if you like wine, they do some quality stuff at ridiculous prices, e.g. Faustino I, £18 in the supermarkets, £11-something in Costco.

:)

^^ I will second that, only problem is that you can't get out without spending a fortune as you buy stuff!

Indeed - next on the list is a bouncy castle for the nippers!

A snip at just £120!!

then some danish pastries or cakes, a socket set, some washing powder and softener, I will get some drinks whilst I am here and just wait a minute whilst I buy a coat or some clothes.....

I've got it! Don't take the wife

Not taking the wife doesnt work im afraid. 'Dont make the call' is the real answer! Last time I went down there they had a special on Birkenstock sandels - knowing she loves them I thought Id ring her and ask which colour/style she fancied. I left there with seven pairs. :wall:

But, yes they do some great offers and ive found its well worth having a card. :)

The alloy Jacks are a good buy!!! bought one a couple of years ago for servicing the rally car but now gets used every day in my mates garage.

Ah Costco.... or as i call it "The hundred pound shop" lol

Never has saving money been so expensive. Having said that, I love it. I picked up a Karcher jetter for £120, the same model was £180 in Argos at the time. I also got 5l of branded car shampoo for £6, good for 300 washes. Suffice to say I probably never have to buy car shampoo ever again. The food is good too.

Don't worry about the £25 card not paying for itself, you'll offset that in the first visit :giggle:

Have you got your Card and trolley jack yet ?

I popped into the one at Glasgow on the way to view a pickup truck. Saw a bargain table tennis table so had to buy the pickup just to return to collect the table tennis table! Tail was wagging the dog that day...

Rubber car boot mats are ridiculously cheap and good quality too. Just don't get me started on the smell of the tyre bay....mmmmmm! And they'll change your winter wheels over to your summers for about £7+VAT.

Costco is brilliant, I was there at the Leeds one last night. I buy all my Beef mince,Chicken breast and thighs from there plus diet coke and huge packs of toilet roll. Cheap as chips for food in bulk. Best thing about the place is the micro fibre cleaning cloths pack of 36 for £13!!!!!

If your not happy with your savings over the year of having your card they will give you, your membership cost back to you

12 years ago a college friend asked about Costco when paths crossed at work. I said I'd take her as a guest one Sunday. 9 months later we got married so Costco was our first date!

I'm banned by swmbo from cakes, and tech and sweet sections :(
