L&K Citigo

Featured Replies

I drive an L&K Ocky when the better half won't let me drive her Citigo and got to thinking. The Citigo is such a cracking good car why no L&K model? So what would you add (or take away) to make a L&K model?

I know its supposed to be an cheep car but what a cudos for Skoda, luxury but small?

so here is my thoughts:

Heated rear seats

Auto dip rear mirror

Anti hijak doors (single opening) (yes i know it can be switched on)

Xenon headlights

Coming home/leaving lights (yes i know it can be switched on)

Cornering fogs (yes i know it can be switched on)

Auto switch on headlights

Electric drivers seat 2 position

Leather Suede seats

Reach and rake steering

DSG

Diesel

Anything else

Anything else

Judging by that list, a far higher price tag?

Problem is that the VW UP!, Seat Miiiii and Skoda Citigo are all built in the same factory and are very similar. Except VW keep some better stuff for themselves.

Many of those things were not in the design spec of the car. The Yeti got an L&K after four years and the Fabia has never had one.

Good idea though.

I'd also want to take the PID out and fit a decent Nav/bluetooth system.

Now the diesel option maybe a gem of an idea , 3 cylinder 1.2 or 1.4 would be good :)

had a 3 cylinder diesel in a polo .....in a word....AWEFULL!  mpg was rated similar to the current petrol citigo (60) but I only ever managed 40! even on a long run. the cost of a diesel would be similar to a 1.2 tsi fabia and not qute as economical so I don't think it would be justified.

What is wrong with the PID.  I have had a number of Sat Navs, Garmin, Tom Tom (stand alone) and the Tom Tom built into my Scenic.  The PID seems to work as well as any of them.  Also the blue tooth is better than the Scenic system as it shows the name of tracks playing properly and connects to more than one phone at a time, which is great as I have both a work and a personal mobile.  My only criticism is that I would prefer it to be built in as it is more of a thief magnet in its current form.
