Non low profile wheels for 2009 vrs

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise? I have had quite a few issues with my alloys mainly because of the state of the roads and that they are low profile tyres. I want to exchange my wheels for a smaller rim with more heavy duty tyres. Can anyone advise what I can put on and where to get them.

Thanks

some 16 inch taxi spec steel wheels will do the trick.

.... And they look tiny on a vRS

You need some nice 17" vrs rims;)

As it's a vRS, the smallest you can fit on are 16" wheels because of front brake clearance.

Assuming you have 18" wheels at the moment, you can either fit 16" wheels, running 205/55 R16 tyres (same as your spare if you have one) or 17" wheels running 225/45 R17 tyres.

If you look for secondhand wheels on ebay ect, then Mk5 Golf wheels and also Mk2 Audi A3 wheels will fit.

You will probably have to let you insurance know, even though you are making the car less attractive.
