These have a B rating for efficiency and wet grip on Blackcircles.com

Anyone tried them before?

please read post 7 on this thread.

I think it was your post that made me look at the Hankooks in the first place! :-)

How are you finding the wear rate? I'm impressed with the B ratings for economy and wet grip. Just don't want them to wear out in 10k miles.....

I have these on my Octavia combi

Very pleased, much quieter than the Bridgestone/Dunlop mix.

Never lost grip in wet or dry, or felt like it might. Steering feel is good and positive. I would recommend a proper 4 wheel alignment though.

Wear is also pleasing (again thanks to the geometry check and adjust), rears have now done 30,000, fronts about 20,000 miles. They will likely get me to the end of summer before replacement. Apart from a relatively small local mileage, most miles have been spent touring on the continent.

I will most likely buy these again.

its hard for me to comment on the wear at the moment as ive only just fitted them to the front, I have had them on the back over winter and when I looked at them the other day they didn't seem too bad.

To be brutally honest im pretty crap at making tyres last , but what I can say is they grip pretty good in all conditions!

WTAF? The rating on these tyres has changed from B/B to E/A since last week. Who decides what these ratings are anyway?

I fitted two 205/50/R17s to the front of a Mazda 3 sport in September, the car is driven easy but they're already nearly illegal after 9k on the outside edge of both front tyres.

your tracking must be out mate to do that to a set of tyres, they should wear evenly. Have your car checked by a reputable garage one that has 4 wheel alignment.

The ratings come direct from the tyre manufacturer. These are allocated to the tyres when they are produced and tested against the new EU label legislation.

I had some fitted to my Octavia on the front. I had several sets of K110 V12 Evo before and loved them. The S1 Evo2 didn't feel as nice as the V12 (IMO) and ended up with a bulge in the side wall. I had more confidence in the V12s and so switched back to them
