New monte.....sweet

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone, just wanted to say its good to be back as I had a short stray away from skoda (couldn't help it as Audi tt just needed driving for awhile!) but now due to moving house and wanting a baby next year (hence house move for better schools ect) I'm back to the dark side! I've just put an order on a 1.6 tdi 105 gee-gees monte :-D. Need a car that'll be cheap to run day to day and hell.....it looks good. My reason for monte and not vrs is simple.......the Mrs! Not allowed fast this or fast that not allowed anything that involves fast full stop! Oh we'll, I had a good run over the years, anyway I picked up a loaded monte for £14000 brand new. Sat nav / GSM phone stuffs / climate control / parking sensors (for her of course) / maxi dot / ESC ASR all that stuff / spare wheel / mats / full tank of fuel / fluffy dice ect... So anyone think this is a good deal as I've haggled and whatnot and trans city skoda came back with the deal. Oh and 3 years servicing....sweet! I wanna keep the car for a few years or keep it full stop and get something else and let the Mrs have it. So ladies and gents, good deal or should I have told them to jog on? Anyhow good to be back on a REAL forum, with nice people who love there cars and understand life's a laugh!

Depending on how cluey your Mrs is, you could have bought a VRS and taken the badges off it...

Good choice!

Hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine and it's certainly cheap to run as a daily driver.

I bought a vrs when the mrs couldn't come with me. Rang her up and told her I found a really nice family friendly 1.4 petrol fabia. Never mentioned the twin chargers and now when she's in the car with me I drive steady :-D

But fair play on what you bought its probably what I should have got. Lol

Yep your right the VRS would have been nice and trust me I did try the "but oh babe it's only a little car", but as she was in the cars when I test drove them I can't and frankly not silly enough to pull the wool over her eyes as this woman has X-ray vision! I even did the you can have something nice back door approach but got the look! So monte it is.....thanks for the understanding, she holds the jewels but it keeps me on my toes as I need a woman like that or I just run wild! Oh....the good old days etc....

How many miles per tank do you get. IM gussing the Monte take about £55 to fill. Also are you beat staying away from morrisons petrol i collect my Monte next week.

Another man ruined by a woman. Lol

Lol.....well I would normally agree with yah nads but this woman.....just got me from the first word! Few years later and I'm not half the man but more of a man.....that's what a really good woman does for you without you even knowing mate!.....oh and she's hot, really hot! I'm one lucky lucky f@*k so everyone says.....like I don't know! Anyway is that a good deal on the car or not as no one has said lol.

Well dependant on solid or metallic paint, it is around £13,900-14,000 on DriveTheDeal so I would've said with all the kit you got the right price

I did try that site Dex and orange wheels but most of those are pre-reg or come from Scotland and they drive it down, thats the deal i got from them. This way I get it with delivery miles and from a dealer I've dealt with before and there not to bad really. I admit I did use those sites to get trans city to give me a deal as at first they were a little pricey, so all in all glad you think it's about right price my mind is at ease a bit now, thank you.

oh and she's hot, really hot

This thread is useless without photos.

My Mrs insisted on a vRS, wouldn't consider anything else lol. Not only that she recently ordered me to man-up and swap my fiat 500 twinair for an Abarth 500...... which I did hehe. Oh and she's hot too ;-)
