just bought a Skoda Fabia 51 plate

Featured Replies

Hello!

New here, so hello everyone!

Just bought a Skoda Fabia 1.4 51 plate off eBay for £530. 99k miles on the clock. Has had to have new front tyres, timing chain, and a front spring, not to mention a service and road tax!! :whew: Total cost of car now in the region of £950 but that is inc MOT and tax for 12 months. Yikes!

Have spent quite a lot of time looking through Skoda forums and it seems to me and my worried mind that not many folk have much nice to say about this car, so was basically looking for reassurance that its going to be an ok little runaround!

Anyone????

Hi and welcome aboard.

Still under a grand which i still good.

I hope so! It seems to drive nicely.

The MPG is poor, seems common. Disappointing as I have a 70 mile round trip commute, and I do drive carefully (no more than 65 on motorways)

Anyone out there know how much improvement to the MPG a new thermostat and sensor makes? Am getting one fitted this week.

Cheers!
