Now showing new steering wheels, Citigo Sport, 15 wheel option on Elegance.

Citigo Sport available with white or black 15in Aurigas or 16in Serpens wheels. Looks nice, would have had one but I ended up with a Rapid instead!

Thanks Octavia

Nice to see there is a 16" rim option now, like on the UP!

only thing I noticed was the new "sport" only has a 60bhp engine, no 75BHP version ?

how can be a sport if only has the lowest power engine?

Skoda UK again.. Sport is available with 75PS in CZ.

Probably because of the high UK insurance premiums for younger drivers - fitting only the 60PS engine would make it cheaper to insure and more marketable for the age group. Did anybody else notice the new option of 'luggage compartment cover with luggage net' at £50? I assume that means a different cover with the netting system and not that the cover has been dropped!!

But if they offerred 60PS and 75PS versions then I presume they would have different insurance groups?

The thing is Skoda UK like making decicions for us instead of letting the customer decide!

Just like most other big companies then really. Like Pay TV, the "choice" about which channels you have are restricted by "bundling".

Brochure shows SE with beige interior but I am guessing that this is not available. The S model shown with beige interior has a note to confirm that beige interior is not available on S but nothing to say the same for SE?

The Pug 107 did the same thing years ago with a so called sports model. It had the go faster looks, but the same bog standard engine.

As has been said these kind of cars are sold to young guys who want the looks but low insurance costs.

I was looking at the sport before I got my black elegance. Saleswoman did her best to try to sell me one but I decided stickers and skirts don't make the car any quicker, they only increase insurance quotes. I'd quite happily modify my elegance with a spolier and other bits but at the min I'm happy with it as a standard elegance.

Give it a few months (if that) and the part numbers will be on here for the Sport kit. I'd rather stick them on the elegance and have the advantage of the 75bhp engine and the greentec.

Yes, like the 60PS Elegance being in insurance group 1 and the 75PS Elegance being right up there in insurance group... 2.

More daftness not offering the 75PS in Sport trim IMO, particularly as it likes to be thrashed more to get the extra performance which is probably fun for younger drivers.

If I had gone with a Sport I probably would have been happy with the 60, BUT if the 75 option was there I would have taken it. Plus it means £400 more in Skoda's pocket. Greentech can also be had on the Sport in CZ.

Also annoying that you can't spec heated seats and heated/electric mirrors on the Sport here.

Don't want to turn into a Briskoda-whinger but Skoda UK's spec Nazis do annoy me!

Join the club. Oh! You already have...

thing is we seem to get less choice, and lower overall specs for a higher price, no doubt for a nice fat profit for skoda uk

Just to give this a little bump.

Having read through the comments the other day regarding the 60 engine in the Sport, I thought I'd hold off until full confirmation.

The reasoning behind the 60 engine is that the Sport will be available with free insurance to drivers over 21 (T's & C's apply) as of this month.

Not yet, it's sitting at port waiting to come over so it's imminent.

Interesting.....going down the peugeot route.

To be honest, unless you rev it very high thr 60ps verison is hardly different from the 75ps

I sent for the new brochure last week, however when it arrived in the post,it was the old brochure, not showing any of the updates!!
