Mines a 54 2005 face lift with a battery cover. Is the only difference with the face lift the rear lights, no rear door lock piste and shorter 6th gear?

Is it not asz engines have the battery and cover, then the later euro compliant engined cars with the blt engine didn't have the covers? Pretty sure this has been covered millions of times on the forum.
