Can't get over how good the 1.2 tsi motor is!

I haven't driven the 1.2 in a Yeti, I had a Fabia courtesy car and that went really well! It has a lot of poke for a small motor. Did you get DSG also?

Didn't go DSG ( had an A3 with DSG and loved it) as I thought a 6 spd manual suited the smaller motor - tried to post a snap but it wouldn't have it - too large - need to reduce the size and will post up later ...

Now I'm even more jealous as I've got to wait another 6-7 weeks for mine.

Sent using whatever device I'm using at the time.

But the 7 speed DSG suits it even better!

I know it's not that time just yet but when it comes; trying to sell a second hand automatic car in France is close to impossible - one of the deciding factors....

that'll be the deep south west then?

How do these new French reg's work, then?

It used to be easy to tell who came from Brittany or Normandy.

They are now independant of the department ( i.e. national) and stay with the car forever (instead of changing evertime they were sold or you moved). I's optional to put your dept number on the right of the plate ( you can see my dept number 64 - which is Pyrenees Atlantique) - or anything you want, like a flag or a logo - most people keep the dept number.

Grrr Typo's thanks ipad!!!!!

Yes deep SW, between Biarritz and Pau.

Ah explains why 29 cars sometimes have the gwenn adhu(black and white) the celtic breton flag!

Hah, the Bretons must just be more "nationalistic" than our Basque neighbours!

I can't make out from the picture, what's the silver thing on the black pillar cover? Looks like a badge/writing maybe?

Yes they still roux the day in 158? when they were defeated by the French who then took all their cash/jewels etc - its sad/amusing to listen/talk to them about that period - think the line of chateaux along the eastern Breton border is a testament to that period and earlier! ie Fougeres -> Chateaubriant -> Clisson etc

Adventure badge?

Re the Bretons,

The small town we are twinned with and where friends live, Derval, used to be in Brittany but was moved to Loire-Atlantique a few years ago, but the Maire still only fly the Tricolour and the Breton Flag. They refuse to acknowledge the "up-starts" of the Loire!!

Looks like we will be there in October. Hurray!!

Nantes etc desparately want to become Breton again, but if that happens there may well be more aggro within Brittany because, will Nantes usurp the crown of capital of Brittany from Rennes? |Hey ho lifes never simple, a la UK and Scotland wanting to leave the union!

Correct, an Adventure badge- also there's one in the middle of the rear screen (fairly subtle) sill guards with Adventure on, special seats with a tyre tread pattern up the centre (looks better than it sounds) and a whole list of other options thrown in for the model. Will take a snap of the seats when it's nicer outside.

Cool, sounds nice steph64 the little touches make it.
