Both rear doors wont open?

Featured Replies

Ok, have searched the forum and found numerous threads, partially stripped one door from the inside and can see that mechanism (the visible part operated by the solenoid) is moving with the pressing off the key as it should.

Also, the external and internal handles seem to be working as they should, in the sense that when pulled the mechanism by the lock seems to be moving normally.

I've also tried the 'pressing the key and pulling the handle at the same time' technique, but with no success!

I have no warning lights etc, and as I said it's both rear doors?.......

There's not a fuse for the rear deadlocks is there by any chance?.....

I'm finding it hard to believe that both locks would fail at the same time, any suggestions welcome :)

Child locks... ??

They won't open from the outside, or the inside. It's like both rear doors are dead locked?

I've tried the gentle persuasion on the inner door (with the door card removed using a rubber mallet) as I'd read elsewhere. But this doesn't make any difference either! I'm guessing this will mean the requirement to nearly destroy the back of the lock/solenoid from inside the door, in order to manually operate the deadlock - then replace both locks, once able to open the doors???
