Bottom boost pipe alternative

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has been covered previously but I didn't turn up anything concrete after a search,

One of the lugs on the metal bottom boost pipe on our Fabia has torn on the joint to the rubber pipe that connects to the intercooler and I think it may be a matter of time before it blows off.

Having spoken to Skoda they want a little over a ton for a replacement and I wondered if there is an alternative that might be had for cheaper or if people have made their own with some silicone joints and metal boost pipe.

The part in question is item #3 in the diagram.
