How do i tell if DMF is knackered?

Featured Replies

Bought a vrs last summer and clutch was slipping, have waited till now to get it changed as it has started to make an in gear vibrating noise but only under 1500rpm and when in gear. Cant hear or feel any vibrating when in neutral. Any ideas to what this could be? i think its just the clutch but dont want a shock if it is the dmf too :/ thanks

Sounds like DMF to me :(

It is best to replace the DMF at the same time as the clutch. Unlike a solid flywheel they do not last forever. Complete clutch and DMF kits can be sourced for £400 these days, just make sure you get a sachs or LUK unit.

+1 if your having a clutch replaced do flywheel at same time .... itl be cheaper in the long run
