anyone think my 1.6 tdi has a little rattle or is it just me? or is it the charecter of the engine? one of the other drivers has a 1.6 tdi octy and it sounds the exact same

Hmmm, I can't really make anything out other than an idling diesel engine. Can you describe the rattling noise that it makes, and when it makes it? e.g. at certain revs?

just at idle really, near the end of vid you can hear a faint something doesn't sound major but just asking as over at the octavia II part of the site i noticed someone had bought a brand new octy 1.6 tdi se and it had failed bottem end or something similar and had to get a new engine but mine doesn't sound any where near that bad at all if any noise, as i said one of the other drivers has a 1.6 tdi octavia and his sounds the exact same when we sat them side by side and listened quietly, must be okay then
