Hopefully a quick easy question. My 2003 fabia vRS is suffering intermittent starting issues which I believe based on symptoms is either the starter motor or the connection as others have raised. However could anyone confirm how the immobiler works? Will the car still turn over but not start or does it stop it turning over? Thanks

The engine will turn over on the starter motor, fire up and then stop, also the immobiliser warning lamp should illuminate.
