Buzzing from the dash...somwehere

Featured Replies

So, I've done a search for ither buzzing entries but nothing quite matched (apologies if I missd something obvious, I'm moving house in 3 weeks and my heid is buzzin')

So, the issue manifests itself with a buzzing as the car decelerates and the reves drop......as they go through th e 2,500 rpm down to about 2,200rpm there is a buzz that builds in intensity (clearly as whatever is buzzing reaches its natural frequency) and then fades.......

As I've done this.....I have tried touching the door, door pouch, handle, insert, mirror adjust joystick and various other bits of interier trim to try to identify what's going on....but to no avail......

One solution is o course - turn your stereo up!!! However, I'd rather get to the root cause and fix this!!!

Any suggestions folks???

Could be a vent motor sticking.

I got a buzzing/rattling noise within days of picking up the Scout. It appeared to be coming from down near the centre console.

Turned out to be the glasses holder fitted near the rear view mirror. It STILL annoys the cr@p out of me to this day.
